entirely too hot!! I tried to stay positive so the kids could have a good time. Eventually the kids felt it too and started getting cranky. We decided with such nice weather, we'd go home and swim. Just a few miles into our drive, it was a downpour! We spent the rest of the day relaxing at home.
We saw many of the typical zoo animals. Conner's favorites were the white alligator and the frogs. These colorful ones were only about an inch and a half. They were tiny, but packed a poisonous punch. Tyler's favorites were the orangutans. He calls them his ancestors. Not really sure where he got that one! One had just had a baby, s
omeone said, the day before. All I know is that the mom looked as though she was super-tired! Makelle's favorites were the colorful birds. Paige loved the tank with big turtles, fish and manatees. My faves were the macaws and giraffes.
